Let's Talk About the Adults in Prisoner of Azkaban

We meet again :)
We all know and love MOST of the adults in the Harry Potter world, yes? Well, let's talk about some of the times they were problematic in PoA. I understand that everyone wanted to protect Harry from Sirius, okay? But...
Let's begin with Fudge. The Minister of Magic was a moron at the best of times, but the fact that he himself showed up at the Leaky Cauldron to make sure that Harry was located? Come on buddy... You've never even met the kid and he blew up his aunt and went on the run, but it's not supposed to seem that weird that you were there to not only make sure that he was okay and located, but not to punish him at all? Harry's 13 and he can be pretty oblivious sometimes, but literally everyone could've detected something really odd with this situation..
Secondly, Molly and Arthur. Listen, I love these two so much. They're relationship goals forever and raising seven children is NOT easy, money or not. However, Molly gets so short-sighted sometimes, especially when it comes to protecting her children and Harry. Arthur tries to take a more clinical look, but you never see them genuinely argue and Harry just... Happens upon them having the discussion that reveals that everyone thinks Sirius is after him? Also, it seems to me as if they are almost reluctant to believe that Sirius is guilty, or is that just me?
Okay, Lucius is a jackass and that's something that we can all agree on. (Unless... You're a death eater!?) But it's becoming glaringly obvious to me that he's just so toxic for Draco. It's not like I didn't know that, but it comes through more and more each time. The fact that Malfoy is taunting Harry in potions class about going after Sirius and saying he'd want revenge. People know what he did, but this is far from the first or last time that I feel like Draco just knows way too much about dark magic and his father's doings. I mean... At this particular point the kid is 13!
Also, maybe I'm jumping the gun here and I forgot something... But why wouldn't Lupin say something to Harry about being such good friends with Lily and James? I get that he feels massive guilt about what happened, but wouldn't that connection with Harry have just made things better? I honestly don't see why he hid that from Harry, it would've made him so excited. It wouldn't have even been prudent to bring up Sirius right away.
I know Fudge "looked around" for eavesdroppers and McGonagall was talking quietly but honestly... Do these guys not know their own students at all? Let's just go ahead and tell Rosmerta the entire story of James and Sirius in a public place with a TON of students. Regardless of whether or not Harry was banned from Hogsmeade visits, any of the students could've heard and it would've been passed around like freaking wildfire.
Okay, now here is Snape. An awful and problematic adult no matter what (no, you won't change my mind) but he was supposed to be in pretty dang close with Voldy, right? Tell me, then, HOW he didn't know that Sirius was innocent and there's no way he's turning coat to help the dark side. Like, Snape definitely knew, right? I feel like he's just going along with Sirius being guilty because of his shitty grudge and like, wow dude. He's been in freaking Azkaban for 12 years. I know Snape alone couldn't prove his innocence, but he's just going right along with it to the point that he's FURIOUS that he doesn't get the dementor's kiss. You can't tell me he really thinks he's guilty and he's so mad because he thinks Sirius is responsible for Lily's death. I am. Not. Buying. It.
This one has always bothered me. If the marauders were as close-knit as they seem, pretty much like the golden trio, HOW are you trying to convince me that Lupin and Sirius literally kept it from one another if they were the secret keeper or not? I get that war is scary and nobody knew who to trust. But James, Sirius and Lupin were as close as Harry, Ron and Hermione and not once did Harry suspect either of them to be working for the dark side, whether they fought or not. It's another situation that makes me want to shake these grown ass wizards and be like... HELLO!?
On the other hand... Let's talk about Rubeus Hagrid. He's often viewed as the irresponsible adult and the drunk. But he's honestly one of the only ones that really looked out for the golden trio in this book. He kept telling Harry not to risk going to visit him after dark, he talked to Harry and Ron when they were icing Hermione out, saying she'd been crying and she was more important than broomsticks and rats, didn't blame Harry and Ron when they forgot to help with Buckbeak, and refused to let them stay with him during Buckbeak's execution. He's just... Amazing.
