I Finally Did a Library Haul

We meet again!

I love your hair like that, you should do it like that more often! Okay, anyway. I used to be an avid library visitor up until that pesky pandemic swept us all into our homes and away from the public. And let me tell you, oh how I have missed it. Through my work I actually ended up back in the library today and decided, what the heck? I'm going to renew my library card and do a little library haul.

I started off slow today but I was able to find four different books that I had on my Amazon book list, so I decided that I wanted to share it with you. Here we go :)

#1: The Woods Are Always Watching by Stephanie Perkins. I have been waiting to get this one for a hot minute now. I read There's Someone In Your House more than a year ago and just loved every second of that creepy little ride. This one is about two best friends that found themselves by being the outcasts, finding their lives about to change as they head to different colleges. One last chance at bonding comes in the form of a excursion into the woods, because what is the worst that could happen... right?

#2: The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller. I added this one to my list not toooo long ago, but I'm still really, really excited for the storyline. It's about a young woman that decides that she is going to woo the Shadow King and then murder him so that she could have his power for himself. However, that proves a lot harder than she initially planned when she finds out that she isn't the only one that wants him dead. Can she keep him alive long enough to get what she wants?

#3: Dry by Neal and Jarrod Shusterman. This one is set in a California that has reached epic proportions of a drought and how deadly and awful people can turn once all of the taps run dry. Really simple concept, but there is so much opportunity in this storyline and I, for one, am quite stoked to see how it all plays out.

#4: Once Upon a Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber. Garber made herself well-known with Caraval and this book marks the first in a new series that she has dreamt up, following Evangeline Fox, who is a hopeless romantic that discovers that the love of her life is set to marry another. Well, this just won't do, will it? She makes a deal with Prince of Hearts and soon finds out that all may NOT be fair when it comes to love and war.

I know that this was a short blog post, but I was just so excited for my library haul and it was something that I wanted to share with you guys :) (if you're out there!) I'm going to have some really fun new reviews soon, including some of these, so stay tuned!

In the meantime, follow me on Insta (bookishmamabish) and goodreads (Traci Bishop) to stay even more up to date with all my bookish happenings.

Until next time <3
